All Of The Big News From Xbox + Bethesda’s Extended Games Showcase

Obviously, the Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase was home to all of the big reveals and gameplay deep dives from all of the games coming in the next year.

Much like they did last year, Xbox opted to host a second extended showcase to go a little deeper on some things, while debuting trailers that didn’t make the lofty runtime of the original showcase.

Here’s everything that was covered in the extended showcase.

Valheim Is Coming To Xbox Game Pass Next Year

While it was revealed during the main showcase that Valheim would be coming to Game Pass for PC this year, today’s extended showcase served to confirm that the game is also set to land on Xbox Game Pass for console next year.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Is Sawing Its Way Onto Xbox Game Pass Next Year

One of the most surprising bits of news we felt could have easily made the main showcase was the fact that Gun’s asymmetrical multiplayer title, inspired by the classic horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, would be debuting day one on Xbox Game Pass.

The team debuted a ‘red band’ trailer, which is rather graphic, to celebrate the news.

We Got A Behind The Scenes Look At As Dusk Falls

This is definitely a ‘Brodie game’, so I was definitely keen to see more of this interactive narrative adventure that’s coming to us courtesy of developers that once worked at Quantic Dream.

To say this kind of thing is their speciality is an understatement.

Master Chief And Co. Are Coming To Fall Guys

While we’re already excited for the fact that Fall Guys is set to become a free-to-play title alongside its launch on Xbox consoles, the fact we’ve now got news that Master Chief and some of Halo’s other cast are coming to the game is pretty cool.

The fact that they spoofed Halo 3’s famous “Believe” advert to drop the news is icing on the cake.

The Next Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update Is Set In The United States

I love the fact that Microsoft Flight Simulator is bit-by-bit becoming a far more realised and detailed world to fly in, and the United States is a definitely a big one for the team to check off the list.

Along with the free world update, which drops today, players can purchase a Beechcraft Model 18.

High On Life Is A Triple-I Game According To Justin Roiland

We also got a deeper look at Justin Roiland’s upcoming action-adventure comedy shooter, High On Life, which is geared at bringing his signature brand of adult humour to an engrossing tale of intergalactic bounty hunting.

We Got Another Look At Slime Rancher 2

Although we haven’t heard much about this one since its reveal a while back, it’s still set for release this year.

What we did get was another nice look at the game which goes into detail on some of the environments players can expect to encounter during their time with Slime Rancher 2.

The ID@Xbox Globetrotting Sizzle Reel Featured A Couple Of Aussie Devs

I was definitely pleasant to see Phantom Abyss, developed by Brisbane’s Team WIBY, and Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong appear on what is a pretty nice showing of indies still to come for the platform.

We Got An Emotional Update From The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Team

Developing games is hard work as it is, it’s even harder when you’re displaced and caught in the crossfire of conflict.

This brief vidoc from the developer behind the upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl should hopefully shed light on just what they’re going through.

Enter The Zone With This New S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl Trailer

The team also had this brand new trailer for players to help hold them over until the game sees release next year.
