Capcom kept things a little bit more low-key than the Silent Hill transmission yesterday. While not many new announcements were made, we have a better idea of what the next big Resident Evil projects would entail.
The new trailer showed off what we can expect in terms of new looks for Ashley, Salazar, Bitores Mendez, Ada Wong and Luis Sera. It’s looking mighty juicy.
The edition is made in the same style as Resident Evil 2, 3 and Village but this time features a statue of Leon in his iconic bomber jacket. You can read all about what’s included here.
There’s not a whole lot here that we didn’t already know, but the power of the PlayStation VR2 allows them to offer a much better experience than they could with Resident Evil 7. We were also lucky enough to play it at Tokyo Game Show, and enjoyed it.
The new trailer showed off a little bit more of the third-person gameplay for the main game, as well as the warped world that will be explored by Ethan’s daughter Rose in the new Shadows of Rose expansion. We got to play it last month, but soon everybody will be able to! It’s still on track for release on October 28th 2022.
The latest trailer shows off more locations – including locations from Resident Evil 7. You’ll even be able to play it early from October 23rd if you already own Resident Evil Village and there’ll be lots of updates coming following it’s release.

It allows you to play thirty minutes of the game, similar to the original demo released for Village. It is available starting tomorrow.
