Two hours of announcements took place at the 2026 Summer Game Fest stream and here they all are.
The final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII remakes was announced in a trailer showing a mixture of story and gameplay. The game’s central theme is resolve, completing the stories for each of the characters.
It’s launching simulateously on all platforms (including the Switch 2) unlike those before it coming out Autumn 2027 for us in the Southern Hemisphere.
Matt Mercer, the voice of Vincent Valentine, joined Naoki Hamaguchi on the stage to reveal more about the game. We saw Vincent Valentine and Cid gameplay too. It looks more open that ever before, with the ability to skydive around the map.
Kicking off the show we saw a short and spooky clip from Capcom announcing Resident Evil: Veronica, a reimaging of Code Veronica including both Claire and Chris.
The long talked about Wolf Among Us 2 finally reappeared from Telltale Games, coming out 2027. To tide us over, The Wolf Among Us is getting a remaster later this year.
It’s in early development but Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN was announced. It continues the story beyond the events of the first game and introduce a new protagonist, Evie.
Street Fighter 6 is continuing to add new fighters with the popular Final Fantasy character Tifa added to the roster.
Returning to the survival horror genre, the game looks fantastic. The Alien is hunting a settlement this time, with little otherwise said about the game at this point in time.
Leaked and rumoured a long while back, Platinum Games has revived TMNT The Last Ronin. They announced it was in development with a quick teaser trailer.
The fabled MMO is back with Guild Wars 3 in development for PC and PS5. Fans we encouraged to sign up to the newsletter andf look out for an upcoiming beta later this year.
Studio MDR announced a new hand animated Cuphead was on the way. It’s in the early stages of development so might be a little way off, but Studio MDR didn’t come empty handed announcing Mighty Cuphead Adventure.
Innersloth have a new standalone game in the Among Us universe coming out soon that has players investigating crimes, rather than finding an imposter. The cast of the animated TV series also took to the stage to show the first trailer of the series.
A breif clip teased a new story mission coming to 007 First Light, with Lenny Kravitz’ character Bamwa returning.
Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player turn-based tactics game launching on PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S. They snuck a release date of August 27th in the end of the trailer as part of the stream with Anakin making an appearance.
The game is out on the January 15th 2027. The cast has gotten bigger with Snoop Dog waltzing our on stage as part of the announcement, and Tupac revealed in the trailer. Snoop explained he worked closely with Tupac’s estate to have him appear in the game, and teased Death Row Games forming with new announcements coming soon.
Saw Genesis is a new asymmetrical 3v1 multiplayer game from Bloober Team.
The game is the new release from famed video game creator, Fumito Ueda, the director of Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. The game was previously codenamed Project Robot.
Palworld has been causing a rukus whilst in early access, but is exiting with a full 1.0 release this July 10th.
The upcoming action-adventure game from 24 Entertainment Lin’an and NetEase got a beautiful, cinematic trailer. Those at SGF are being trated to a preview of the game.
Looking sci-fi and freaky, Haex was announced with a gameplay trailer showing some co-operative, first-person, survival action. It’s a open-world survival shooter for 1-4 players. The environments and enemies looked interesting. It’s out 2027.

Gundam Rogue Orbit was announced and is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam next year.
The upcoming game from That’s No Moon, a studio made up of ex-Naughty Dog devs, is called Crossfire. It’s a single-player, story-driven game. The tense trailer mixed in cutscenes third-person action gameplay following two soldiers on opposing sides, forced to co-operate with one another. They made a big feature of “Adaptive Cover”: animations that match the type of cover the character is hiding behind.
It’s becoming a lot now, but Remedy and Geoff Keighley had a long history working together, so it’d have been rude not to.
End of Abyss got a release date of October 1st. It’s a top-down sci-fi atmospheric horror from Section 9 Interactive and one of the more eye-catching gameplay trailers for me.
Last Harbor looks like a co-operative survival horror game, something I can always get behind. Set in Washington State, you’re stranded on a boat as a zombie outbreak occurs.
After announcing Sega was brining back some of their most popular IPs, a trailer for the new Virtua Fighter game was shown off. It’s called Virtua Fighter Crossroads and is coming next year.
It’s the second time we’ve seen it suring the SGF period to far, but a release date of September 15th was confirmed for the upcoming console release of Runescape Dragonwilds. It’s coming to Xbox Series X/S and PS5, and already out on PC.

Grounded 2 is getting a new content adding their own version of dinosaurs… lizards!

The Blood of Dawnwalker got a new trailer. It’s an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Rebel Wolves, coming to PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 3, 2026.
It was orignally announced a while back, but a new trailer gave us a good look at the Cyberpunk Edgerunner characters making their way to Wurthering Waves as added content.
New content for Monster Hunter Wilds was announced with the “massive expansion” Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance announced. The expansion looks to centre around dragon-like monsters.
Swords of Legends is a fantasy-action RPG that was shown off with a gameplay trailer. The game is insipired by traditional Chinese magic tradition.
Hot Wheels looks to be continuing their run of decent arcade racers with the newly announced Hot Wheels Infinite Rush.
Speaking of arcade racers, more content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was announced with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Avatar Legends coming. Godzilla and Evangeleon themed racersa re on the wya too.
A new Attack on Titan game was announced for PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S and Steam, with more updates to come July 1st.
Clutch was announced just prior to SummerGame Fest. It’s a story-driven racing game set in Monaco and the French Riveria. The game has a great cast, including Little Simz who I’m a big fan of.
Chronicles Medieval looks like an intense medieval combat sim with an emphasis on large scale battles. It’s entering early access later this year.
