Fortnite went live on iOS overnight, after registrations opened earlier this week. So far, only one wave of invites appear to have gone out but Epic is adamant that invites will keep going out over the coming weeks and months.
It’s not based on when you signed up but rather a combination of where you’re located and which device you used to sign up.
To sign up, you just head to this link and use your PlayStation Network/Epic account to sign in as well as your device of choice. You’ll then get an email if you’ve been successful. The game weighs in at 2gb and you’ll be able to download it using a link provided in the invite email.
Right now, the mobile version will only be on iOS devices, including both iPhones and iPad. Android support will come in the next few months.
Here’a a list of all iOS compatible devices:
These are the Android devices that will be getting support first:
Only the Battle Royale mode will be playable in the mobile version as Epic has stated that Save The World will take up too much processing power.
It’s obviously free and is exactly the same game that is playable on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It’s 100 players on the same map as well as the same loot and progression that you can find on these versions complete with weekly challenges and exactly the same updates.
It also supports cross play with PS4, PC, Xbox One and Mac meaning that anybody in your party will be able to play together no matter which platform you’re on.
