Xbox One Games Price Revealed

Microsoft confirming to Polygon and Kotaku that the pricing of first party Xbox One games will be set at US$59.99. This is roughly the same amount that is currently being asked for Xbox 360 new releases which is no doubt a huge weight off the shoulders of gamers with place holder prices being set well above this mark.

Taking note this is only confirmation of first party retailing prices meaning third parties may or may not charge more.

Of course the next question is how will Sony react to this news? Will they equal or undercut their competition yet again?

  • So similar price to current gen, but with bigger budget costs, and much smaller install base (for at least a few years) - will be interesting to see how it pans out.

    • I think we'll be seeing a lot more studios closing down next ten! On the flip side it's great to see so many indie developers embracing next gen consoles!
