Xbox Australia have today announced that Xbox One gamers will now experience enhanced multiplayer gaming experiences with the launch of local Xbox Live servers. This will bring gamers low pings and closed local hosting to players around the country. This was the most sought after feature requested by Australian gamers over the past year. No update is required to access the servers. The Australian Azure Servers will currently be compatible with Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive & Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Jeremy Hinton, Business Group Lead for Interactive Entertainment at Microsoft Australia, said:
“It has been a very exciting year for both Xbox and the industry. We set out to deliver amazing experiences on the Xbox One platform, and are humbled by the support and positive response from Aussie gamers to the updates over the past 12 months. Today’s announcement of Australian based Xbox Live servers addresses the most requested feature from local gamers. We are excited to give our fans the best online gaming experience available, just in time for the Holidays.”

@Activision_ BUT! I did notice that COD AW or any COD wasn't listed as compatible games for the Australian server's
-_- COD = P2P gaming
Nore will they, activision are a tight bunch of wankers.
It cost money to run servers hence no cod ever had it, waiting for the console owners to do it.
On top of full price just to beta test for these fools they also charge for dlc.
Money money money you got it they want it and you get bugger all return for your money.
FREE dedicated servers on Xbox One for all developers.
