We now know a bit more about the Analogue Pocket which is now set to release in May 2021 with preorders set to go live on August 8th.
The portable console plays Game Boy games, Game Boy Colour games, Game Boy Advance games as well as Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Colour and Atari Lynx games.
It has a 3.5″ LCD which has a 1600×1400 resolution, a battery that can last 6-10 hours, speakers, a microSD slot and USB-C charging. If you like to play your games in the way they were creating, you can play them in original Game Boy, Colour or Advance modes as well.
You can also buy a dock for the unit, which allows you to play your games in 1080p on your big screen. You can then connect controllers either wirelessly or by Bluetooth.
If that wasn’t enough for you, just look at this adorable hard case, which will secure your cute little unit. The console will be available for pre-order on August 4th at 1am. The Analogue Pocket comes in either black or white and will set you back $199 USD (about $280 AUD), the dock will set you back $99 USD (about $130 AUD) and the case will be $29 USD (about $37 AUD).
