Here’s Australian Prices And Release Dates For The Nvidia RTX 3070, 3080 And 3090 GPUs

Nvidia announced three new GPUs overnight ranging from the game-changing RTX 3070 all the way to the absolutely mega powered (but also highly priced) RTX 3080. All three cards have a different release date, and it’s unclear if pre-orders will be available, but you should be able to order the Founder’s Editions HERE and then third-party cards at a later date.

RTX 3070 AUSTRALIAN PRICE AND RELEASE DATE

The Geforce RTX 3070 will release last in October, but it will start at $809 AUD which is great value for money.

Nvidia says that the RTX 3070 is faster than the RTX 2080 Ti at less than half the price, and on average is 60 percent faster than the original RTX 2070. It is equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, hitting the sweet spot of performance for games running at 4K and 1440p resolutions. Size-wize, it is a two slot GPU and comes in at 242mm by 112mm.

The Geforce RTX 3080 will be the first 3000 GPU available on September 17th. Pricing will start at $1,139 AUD.

According to Nvidia, he RTX 3080 is up to 2x faster than the RTX 2080. Featuring 10GB of the new high-speed GDDR6X memory running at 19Gbps, the RTX 3080 can consistently deliver 60 frames per second for 4K resolution gaming. Size-wize, it is a two slot GPU and comes in at 285mm x 112mm.

RTX 3090 AUSTRALIAN PRICE AND RELEASE DATE

The Geforce RTX 3090 will be available on September 24th and will start at $2,429 AUD. Obviously, this is the most powerful GPU ever released and won’t be for everyone which the price tag suggests.

The RTX 3090 is a three-slot, dual-axial, flow-through design that is up to 10x quieter than the TITAN RTX and keeps the GPU up to 30 degrees C cooler. Its 24GB of GDDR6X memory can tackle the toughest AI algorithms and feed massive, content creation workloads. According to Nvidia, the RTX 3090 is up to 50 percent faster than the current ultimate PC graphics card, TITAN RTX, enabling gamers to experience 60 fps in 8K resolution across many top games. Size-wize, it is a three slot GPU and comes in at 313mm x 138 mm.

RAY TRACING IS COMING TO EVEN MORE GAMES

Nvidia showed off ray tracing for Fortnite, Cyberpunk 2077, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Dying Light 2 and Watch Dogs Legion. Every 3000 series GPU purchased this year will come with a copy of Watch Dogs: Legion.

NEW SOFTWARE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Nvidia announced three new pieces of software that’ll release alongside their new 3000 line GPU.

Nvidia Reflex: will be a new suite of technologies that optimise and measure system latency. Nvidia Reflex Low-Latency mode will be integrated into games such as Apex Legends, Call Of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite and Valorant and it’s said to reduce latency by up to 50%. Nvidia Reflex Latency Analyzer will detect input coming from the mouse and then measure the time it takes for the resulting pixels to change on screen.

Nvidia Broadcast: Expanding on the RTX Voice app that did a great job of removing background noise from your mic, Nvidia Broadcast will incorporate this but also help your webcam with RTX accelerated AI effects such as the removal of your background and keeping your webcam in auto frame.
