Developer Aspyr has dropped a heap of new information on its upcoming trilogy of glowed-up (Glow-upped? Glown-up?) Tomb Raider games with Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, which launches on February 14th.
The studio revealed a number of the visual upgrades to this game in a post on the PlayStation Blog, where it described wanting to iterate and add to the game as opposed to revising anything, building on the exact game that players remember with the existing source code.
Some of the more exciting updates include the choice between the classic “tank” style controls and a modern control scheme, health bars for bosses, 3D item sprites and even a dedicated Photo Mode which I’m very excited to toy with. Probably most exciting is the reveal that the game will have over 200 trophies, no doubt spread across each of the three titles, with Aspyr confirming that, yes, you will get a trophy for locking poor old Winston in the freezer in the Croft manor.
