Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Has Been Delayed To Avoid Clashing With Life Is Strange

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, a brand-new title from the team behind the original Life is Strange game, is being delayed from a late 2024 release window to early 2025 – in order to dodge the launch of the new Life is Strange game.

Developer DON’T NOD said that it conducted an “in-depth assessment of recent trends and developments in the industry,” and made the decision to postpone the game’s release to give it more space, with a further comment from its CEO, Oskar Guilbert, which more frankly reasons that the delay will move the game away from the launch of Life is Strange: Double Exposure.

“We know that many of our fans are eagerly awaiting this game, just as they are the recently announced next installment of Life is Strange,” Guilbert said in the press release. “Let’s give both titles the space they need to be enjoyed by our players within the large community we have built. We firmly believe that the wait for Bloom & Rage will be worth it. We look forward to sharing this new adventure, which we hope will become another memorable chapter in the DON’T NOD universe.”

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage looks set to be another narrative adventure in the vein of Life is Strange, and follows four girls across a summer in 1995 and then in their adulthood in 2022, with a harrowing secret kept across those 27 years that players will uncover as they shape both timelines. The studio’s last game, the action RPG, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, was a quiet hit when it launched toward the beginning of this year, earning a Metacritic score of 78 and a Steam user score of 85% according to DON’T NOD. It successfully merges their renowned knack for solid characters and great stories, engaging and enjoyable combat and a unique setting to create an experience like no other.
