Funko Fusion’s Villain Has Been Revealed In A New Story Trailer

After keeping it shrouded in mystery for some time, 10:10 Games has taken the opportunity at San Diego Comic-Con to finally reveal the main villain that players will be working to thwart in its upcoming debut co-op action adventure, Funko Fusion.

The aptly-named “Eddy Funko” is the very incarnation of evil in the Funkoverse, gestated in and birthed from the industrial womb of the Funko Wonder Works Factory and with the innate desire to twist the very worlds that we know and love into his own, vile image, like a Reverse Funko Wonder Works Willy Wonka.

The reveal of this purple-eyed menace comes by way of a new official Story Trailer, which also gives us a new look at some of the worlds and characters we’ll be visiting including Jurassic World, Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim, The Thing, Masters of the Universe, Umbrella Academy, Battlestar Galactica, The Mummy, Nope and even a quick glimpse at Invincible – which has its own cel-shaded visual style to boot – along with a bit of a jump scare at the very end.

Take a look at the new trailer below:

I recent got a behind-closed-doors look at a healthy portion of Funko Fusion and came away impressed by the studio’s commitment to making it an unabashed celebration of IP, even if that very idea feels exhausting, saying, “…it’s hard not to be cynical of something so unashamedly focused on milking these beloved characters and worlds for all their worth. After watching through a good 30 minutes or so of the moment-to-moment gameplay and general structure of the adventure it promises though, I’m pretty confident in it having something to offer not just fans of Funko or the various licenses that exist within the game but also anyone just generally out for a fun, chill action adventure game that can be played solo or with mates in online co-op.”

Funko Fusion launches on September 13th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Amazon has pre-orders for $89.
