Nintendo Switch Will Not Have A Web Browser

Nintendo has confirmed in an interview with TIME Magazine that the Nintendo Switch will not have a web browser, at least at launch.

Nintendo said: “And in terms of the Internet browser, since all of our efforts have gone toward making Switch an amazing dedicated video game platform, it will not support it, at least at launch.”

The company has already gone on the record and said that the Nintendo Switch will be focused on gaming. Nintendo had already shut down the device supporting streaming services such as Netflix on launch.

It’s safe to assume that the Switch will probably get these services after launch, but it’s clear that Nintendo are not trying to mince its words in this instance. The Nintendo Switch is for gamers.

The Nintendo Switch will launch on March 3rd for $469.95.

Thanks, Time.
