Nintendo Switch Games Have Already Arrived In Australian Stores

Less than two weeks ahead of the Australian launch, we’ve now got the first photos of a final Nintendo Switch game appearing in an Australian store.

The photos featured on Twitter user Mdimos39’s profile gives us our first look at the proper boxed copy of Super Bomberman R fit with cover art, inner art, cartridge and even the green G rating.

It’s unclear whether the user works at a store or was able to purchase it early but we’ve reached out for comment.

The Nintendo Switch launches on March 3rd.

  • Hey Shannon, you have a girls name :) Cool article and IM glad there are so many people into gaming.. I'm in my 30s - I never thought I would be into gaming this long! As for the switch.. I'm going to wait for a new version or a package. I have a VITA, PS$/3, XB1 and a PC.. But I grew up with Nintendo so would love to go back at some point..

I kind of wish the Switch had like, PS4 Pro / XB Scorpion power, so that I could ditch the PS4/XB1 and come over to Nintendo.. but without even original XB1 power... I need to see it in action first.

Its like Nintendo are forgetting their past.. the SNES was more technically superior than the megadrive.. that's why everyone bought one.. me and my friends wanted it because the games, with 32,768 colours looked heaps better than mega drives 512.. N64 was also the first with big power 3D..

So WTF Nintendo? Why do you think people don't care about graphics anymore? Its a joke. I should be reading about how powerful it is and how we should be ready to have our socks blown off... that's excitement!! That makes me want to line up and buy.. hearing that its a failure before release.. is a bit sad and does nothing for me.

    • You don't speak for everyone, and I don't have to have the best graphics!!! If it's fun then I will buy it!!! That's what's wrong with gaming everyone is worried bout graphics!!!!

      • Firstly, I don't claim to speak for everyone.

Secondly, do you not think that graphics and the enjoyment of video games in general, are closely correlated?

I grew up playing MARIO Bros on NES, it was highly enjoyable. But when MARIO 64 came out - the gameplay improvements afforded by the improved graphics and processing power put the game on another level.

Only could nostalgia determine that the games were close in quality.

The core of your argument seems to be that simple is better - this simply is not true when it comes to entertainment.

      • if it fails, it will be because there's no fricken games available at launch, not because of the power. In AUS, you have a choice of 5 games? and apparently bomberman is already sold out if you haven't pre-ordered.

still, I guess if it sells out everything they produced, it can't really be considered a failure...
