Nintendo have, as previously predicted by reliable sources, confirmed the exact timing for a Nintendo Direct this week.
It’s focusing on games on the original Nintendo Switch, so no announcements about the Nintendo Switch 2 will be announced at this presentation, although we know that original Nintendo Switch games will be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2
The Nintendo Direct will take place on Friday, March 28th (Melbourne/Sydney) or Thursday, March 27th (rest of Australia).
You can watch the March Nintendo Direct on YouTube below:
While the Nintendo Switch 2 direct being held next week will show off games for the Nintendo Switch 2, the original Switch doesn’t have much revealed for this year.
The announcement says: “Tune in tomorrow for a livestreamed #NintendoDirect, featuring around 30 minutes of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch. There will be no updates about Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation.”
So far, the original Nintendo Switch launch schedule feels quite barren. We know that both Pokemon Legends Z-A and Metroid Prime 4 are coming this, but beyond that it’s unclear what the future holds for one of Nintendo’s best selling consoles.
It’ll be interesting to see how Nintendo fills out the year for what will be one of the final years for the console before the Switch 2 releases.
We’ll have all the announcements, as usual, up on the site as they happen.
