We’ve all been waiting for it and Nintendo has delivered in announcing a Nintendo Direct for late Friday evening.
The September Nintendo Direct will last 60 minutes bringing us new information on upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and OG Nintendo Switch games. Whilst Nintendo has opted for a partner showcase and Indie Direct in recent times, this is a full-blown Direct (the first since the Switch 2 came out) and it also falls right on Super Mario Bro’s 40th anniversary as well.
The Nintendo Direct will be taking place on Friday, September 12th at the below times:

In terms of what we’re expecting, we are definitely thinking that we’ll get a Metroid Prime 4 release date in addition to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and I’m betting on a bunch of Mario goodies to celebrate the anniversary (maybe a Mario Wonder Switch 2 Edition and Galaxy 2 Remaster).
Beyond that, it’s hard to know what to expect as this is the first Nintendo Direct since the Switch 2 came out in June – it feels like we could begin to get teases for heavy hitters such as Animal Crossing too.
