Nintendo announced three new sets of Amiibo at the latest Nintendo Direct and whilst one of them (Metroid Prime 4) are fairly standard, the Super Mario Galaxy and Kirby Air Riders Amiibo actually differ quite significantly from Amiibo that haver dropped in the past.
The Super Mario Galaxy ones including both Mario & Luma and Rosalina and Lumas are much larger in size compared to your average Amiibo, coming in at an even larger size. We don’t know the exact dimensions yet, but twill be as least as tall as the Detective Pikachu Amiibo which was a one-off release coming in at 13.6cm. When it comes to functionality both of these will give you a larger 1-up mushroom.
These are both strangely coming out on April 2nd, 2026 (despite the game launching in just a few weeks), and will cost $44.95 in Australia.

When it comes to the Kirby Air Riders Amiibo these will be different in the sense that you can swap riders with their machines. As revealed previously, Kirby Air Riders will have a big emphasis on swapping characters with machines and the Amiibo are no different holding the stats for each separately, so that you can mix and match characters with vehicles.
At launch, there’s two coming out at launch on November 20th including Kirby & Warp Star and Bandana Waddle Dee which will both cost $59.95.

If you’re a Metroid fan, there’s three Metroid Prime 4 Amiibo on the way too, although these are fairly standard. There’s the classic Samus Amiibo coming out on November 6th for $29.95 alongside a larger and more expensive Samus + VI-0-LA (her bike) Amiibo coming for $44.95 on the same day and the regular Sylux Amiibo coming out on December 4th for $29.95 as well.
