It’s been suggested that Nintendo will broadcast a new Nintendo Direct next week, likely on the heels of the week’s Summer Game Fest fanfare.
According to a reliable industry leaker, NateTheHate, Nintendo is expected to give players a good idea of what’s yet to come for the rest of 2026 in a presentation expected to air in the week beginning June 8.
“We’ll be getting that answer very soon, as from what I have heard, the Nintendo Direct will take place next week, the second week of June,” said Nate.
And just to be clear, that is the week of the 8th.”
NateTheHate’s track record of getting these things right speaks for itself after he most recently announced the existence of a new Star Fox game, which was promptly revealed and slated for late June. The jury is still out, however, on his claims of an Ocarina of Time remake, which he alluded to at the same time.
With only Star Fox, Splatoon Raiders, and the yet-to-be-dated Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave coming as heavy hitters this year, there’s certainly a bit of room for Nintendo to add to the release slate.
