Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD Is Getting Removed From Steam And Will Apparently Be Unplayable Even For Owners

A weird one

This isn’t something we’ve seen very often.

Assassin’s Creed Liberation looks like it’s not only being removed from Steam but also that owners of the game will be unable to play it from September 1st. As of right now, you can no longer purchase the game and a notice on the listing says that it will stop being accessible all together on September 1st, 2022.

“At the request of the publisher, Assassin’s Creed® Liberation HD is no longer available for sale on Steam. Please note this title will not be accessible following September 1st, 2022”

Assassin’s Creed Liberation was originally a PlayStation Vita game before it was ported to PC and consoles.

It’s unclear why Ubisoft would seek to make this particular Assassin’s Creed game inaccessible and not any of the others, but we’ll let you know if there’s any update to this story.
