In what could be the ultimate smokescreen for a bigger reveal, CD Projekt has announced that a special tenth anniversary live stream for their Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3, amid rumours of a new expansion.
If reports are accurate, the rumoured expansion, reportedly being developed by Fool’s Theory, the same studio hard at work remaking the first Witcher game, would serve to bridge the narrative gap between The Witcher 3 and its upcoming successor, The Witcher IV, which’ll see Ciri step up as the main, titular monster hunter.
The stream is scheduled to take place on May 28 at 5 PM CEST, which translates to the following for Aussies:
AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane) – May 29, 1 AM
ACST (Adelaide, Darwin) – May 29, 12:30 AM
AWST (Perth) – May 28, 11 PM
Of course, it’s to be taken with a grain of salt, but time will ultimately tell whether we’re in for a true send-off for one of the last generation’s most epic role-playing games.
