New PlayStation Move Introduced As PlayStation VR Move Controller Twin Pack

It has now been confirmed that the PlayStation Move wands will be reintroduced with PS4 branding as PlayStation VR Move Controller Twin Pack. In Australia at least, it’ll be available as a pack of two controllers for $119.95. It appears that this will be the only way to purchase the Move controllers at the PlayStation VR’s launch. Outside of the rebranded box, It’s not entirely evident if these will be any different to those that launched on PS3. The model number suggests that they may be different, so it’s quite possible to expect Micro-USB charging and potentially rebranded Start/Select buttons. They will launch alongside the console on October 13th.

The product description reads:

“Whilst not required for PSVR titles, The move controllers will bring the best experience whilst playing VR titles that will utilise control. Nearly all PlayStation VR titles will support DualShock 4 controllers and several games will deliver an enhanced experience that further immerses gamers with the use of peripherals such as the Move controllers. For example, Batman: Arkham VR can be played without Move controllers, however you would be holding DualShock Controllers in each hand so the PS4 camera could see the light bar for the movement of each hand”

    • otherZinc the idiot trying to gloat that his worthless "exclusives" with the 2008 textures are any impressive at 1080p60. Sad.

      • Probably one of those old and idiotic Nintendo fanboys that still claim that PS Move just 'Copied Nintendo Wii controllers'. Even though anyone who can do 2 minutes of research and isn't a total fucking retard can realize that the Move controllers existed before the Wii or Wii controllers even existed. (Since it was prototyped on PS2 first, just put on the shelf and remade for PS3, and now PS4)

  • PSP = Failed
    Ps Vita = Failed
Sony psp tv box thing = Failed
    PS Move = Failed
    Ps Eye toy = failed
    PS3 Eye = Failed
    Ps4 Cam = Failed
    PS VR = ?

Not investing in anything outside of a sony home console till I see what happens.

    • The PSP sold 82 Million units worldwide and you say it failed....lmao.

The Anti-Sony shrill little twits are really desperate to get their Hate-Mongering Points these days.

PS4 Cam also sold quite strongly, especially with it being an optional peripheral that is not needed for many things except for Facecam, Streaming, or party-games that make use of it, or child-friendly games. Which of course is a more niche audience.

Outside of that, I shouldn't use too much logic to counter your post. I know well enough that using Logic against those with irrational minds leads nowhere.

    • Yeah. PSP = Failed is where I stopped too. You're so wrong.

      PSP = Awesome success.
PS Move = Success (not as much as PSP)
      Eye Toy = Success

and you can't say the PS3 or PS4 camera's failed because they didn't.

You're just so wrong on many levels. Get off the internet.

  • Well spideynut71 do you really think people will buy this for that price.... I will most certainly not do so. Ps vr is hyped so that means i will wait for some months to see what will happen before i spend any mony on it.
