Despite a negative initial reaction, Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare managed to be the number-one selling game in America for 2016. Numbers were down on previous iterations, but it still managed to come out on top of Battlefield 1.
There are some surprise inclusions in the list. Grand Theft Auto V managed to scrape in at 6th despite being 3 years old. Overwatch also came in at 7th despite winning a number of GOTY awards.
Interestingly enough, Call Of Duty: IW seemed to perform quite well in December taking out the number one spot on Xbox One and number two spot on PS4.
