EA have responded to the feedback about Star Wars Battlefront 2’s loot crate fiasco that has hit the internet in the last week.
It was never clear exactly how loot crates would be handled in the final version of the game but the internet definitely was not happy that pay to win elements would be featured in the game.
EA has given us a better idea of about loot rates will work and how we can expect them to impact the main game. You can read the full blog post HERE but we’ve highlighted the important parts below.
We know you have a lot of questions about Crates and progression, so we want to clarify a few things, as the complete system was not in the Beta and will continue to be tuned over time:
We also have heard some players are looking for a way to play where all players will have the same set of Star Cards with flattened values. Like everything else, we will be continually making necessary changes to ensure the game is fun for everyone.

Do not trust EA. Give it an inch and it will take ALL of it.
A unified boycott of this game will send a clear message that microtransactions are bullshit and do not belong in $60 video games.
