PlayStation has announced that it’s increasing the price of all three of its PlayStation Plus subscription tiers globally, with the cost of membership increasing by up to 35% in some regions starting on September 6th.
While we don’t yet have the Australian values, the increased prices look like this in other parts of the world:
Those in the midst of a 12-month subscription won’t see the increase until the next time their membership renews after November 6th, but any new subscriptions or upgrades following the switch over on September 6th will pay the increased pricing.
Adam Michel, SIE’s director of content acquisition and operations, has said that the increases will enable PlayStation to “continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service”.
