After CD Projekt Red revealed a couple of weeks ago that not only will Cyberpunk 2077’s massive upcoming Phantom Liberty paid DLC expansion come with a ton of brand-new story content and a new district in Night City, along with new character progression and gear, but it’ll release alongside an equally-enormous major 2.0 update for the game itself which introduces a number of improvements that will be made free to all players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
While more in-depth details were scarce at the time, CDPR has now shared a bit more clear of a look at what’s coming to the game for free as part of Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and what’ll be a part of the Phantom Liberty expansion. Excitingly, the split mostly relates to actual new content in the DLC, and those sticking to just the base game will still be receiving the lion’s share of actual improvements to the game and gameplay.
Things like redesigned skill trees, improved police systems and car chases including vehicle combat, enhanced AI, UI and item improvements and even new radio stations will all be rolled into Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, as below:
And here’s all of that listed out if you can’t/don’t want to read off of the image:
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches on September 26th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the 2.0 Update due to drop some time before that date.
