There’s been lots of rumours and speculation about what Sony Santa Monica and Cory Barlog have been working on, but the lid has seemingly been lifted by leaker NateTheHate2.
According to Nate, it’s said that Sony Santa Monica’s next game will be set within the God Of War Universe and star Atreus’ mother and Kratos’ second wife Faye. It’s said that the game is set to be much more action focused, and it’s presumed just based on the fact that you’ll be playing as Faye that it will be a prequel to both games, given the first God Of War game is set around discovering her identity.
According to Nate, the game is set to be revealed this year and will release in the first half of 2027. Given Cory Barlog’s team didn’t work on God Of War Ragnarok, this means that it will have been development for 6-7 years which fits the timeline nicely.
