Ubisoft has today lifted the lid on Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced and we now know that it’s coming on July 9th to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The game is totally remade, but it is super faithful to the original with the original voice actor playing Edward Kenway. The game will add new characters, new narrative content and it will go deeper into Kenway’s character and personal struggles.

It’ll still have a huge focus on the naval gameplay, but the modern day content is being reworked and the combat system has totally been reworked, whilst retaining the feel of the earlier games, whilst parkour and free running are the same as the original. An interesting element of note is that they’re reworking the tailing missions as well.

Visually, the game is stunning with improved lighting, increased density and a lot more detail in all of the characters and environments.

A Collector’s Edition for the game was also revealed including the full game, a steelbook, a 12-inch Edeard Kenway statue, Edward’s Metal Brooch, a cloth world map, Edward’s log book and a Sea Shanty music sheet as well as a bunch of digital content as well.
