Hogwarts Legacy 2 Is Officially On The Way

We’ve obviously known that a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy would be on the way at some point given it sold over 40 million copies, but we now have confirmation that it’s very much in the active pipeline for Warner Bros Discovery.

In its latest earnings report, the company spoke about games being an important growth lever with the recent release of LEGO Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight as well as the upcoming Game of Thrones; Dragonfire, before it then turned to Hogwarts Legacy by saying that the second installment of the game would contribute to segment profitability.

“These releases marked the first launches under our refocused strategy centered around four key $1 billion+ franchises with disciplined investment behind fewer, higher conviction titles. We expect Games to more meaningfully contribute to segment profitability going forward as our pipeline expands, including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy”

We don’t officially know anything about Hogwarts Legacy 2, but there’s been rumours that it will include Quidditch as well as Diagon Alley in addition to other minor details about the game. Given that WBD are now talking about it in an official capacity, I don’t think it’ll be too long before we hear see it.

We gave the original game a 9/10 in our review saying: Hogwarts Legacy is the Wizarding World game that fans have dreamt of for years. It offers a dense and rich open-world to explore complemented perfectly by a surprisingly robust and engaging combat system unlike anything else. While the story does live in the shadow of its predecessors, and managing gear can be repetitive, Hogwarts Legacy is a truly magical experience and utterly bewitching from beginning to end.
