The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Has Bigger Screens, Better Durability And A Large Price Tag

Just a couple of weeks after announcing the new Galaxy Note 20 line Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z 5G Flip. The Fold 2 is an improvement on the original device in almost every way, whilst the 5G Flip will add 5G to Samsung’s other foldable phone.

SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD 2 AUSTRALIAN PRICE AND RELEASE DATE

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be releasing on Friday, September 25th with pre-orders going live on Wednesday, September 9th. It’ll come in two colours, Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze and will set you back $2,999 AUD.

SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD2 FEATURES

The GalaxyZ Fold 2 has a larger cover screen which now sits at 6.2 inch and just looks a lot better than the original cover display did. The internal screen is now 7.6 inches with a notch-less front camera and minimised bezels. It also has that same stunning 120Hz display that we’ve seen in other Galaxy displays.

The hinge is a lot more durable now, with the capability of providing new experiences in the brand new Flex mode. This allows the screen to stop at certain angles and allows you to do things like type on the lower half of the screen, or take photos with one side of the screen whilst scrolling through your image library with the other.

Multitasking was a big part of what we were shown in a pre-brief event. It’s always been my biggest use case for a Foldable device, and it looks great here. We were shown managing emails, notes and a video call all at the same time with absolute ease.

In terms of the camera, it’s the same great experience that we’ve come to experience with other Galaxy devices with features such as Pro Video mode, single take, bright night and night mode all featuring.
