SteelSeries’ New Alias Series Streaming Microphones Are Next-Level

SteelSeries has revealed a brand-new product line with the Alias series of gaming/streaming microphones, a pair of super-impressive solutions for gamers and creators that want a device purpose-built to capture them in the best possible light (or… sound field?).

Two models are launching, the Alias and Alias Pro, both powered by a new high-performance turbo engine called Sonar for Streamers. Building off of SteelSeries class-leading Sonar software, the free software suite offers up everything that creators of all levels could need to fine-tune their vocals and mix, manage audio routing, effects and more all while streamlining performance.

SteelSeries Alias

First up in the microphone range is the SteelSeries Alias, which offers up a fully-dedicated gaming and streaming solution with a 24bit/48kHz broadcast-quality microphone with a custom-built 1” condenser capsule and fine-tuned cardioid capsule pattern to both capture users’ voice in flawless detail while minimising the intrusion of background noise. The Alias also packs a 5-stage RGB LED level and mute indicator, RGB downlight and 3.5mm headphone jack – all plug-and-play on PC via USB.

The SteelSeries Alias will retail for $399 AUD and launch soon at local retailers.

SteelSeries Alias Pro

Then there’s the Alias Pro, which takes things a step further as a broadcast-quality XLR microphone with all of the same high-quality capture of the Alias plus dedicated XLR Stream Mixer, giving creators a pro-level audio station. The XLR Stream Mixer even offers dual USB ports that work alongside the Sonar software to make dual-PC streaming even easier. The mixer has customisable dials and buttons to give users a wealth of control at their fingertips and also features ambient RGB lighting and customisable LED indicators.

The SteelSeries Alias Pro will retail for $699 AUD and launch soon at local retailers.
