Apple has today revealed its long-awaited new entry level MacBook and it’s called the MacBook Neo. This is a 13-inch MacBook that uses the iPhone’s A18 chip yet still operates MacOS.
The highlight of the MacBook Neo is the fact that it’s an extremely capable Mac but comes in four colours: Sillver, Blush, Citrus and Indigo and starts at a cracking $899 which is simply just amazing value for what is packed in this little laptop.
It has a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of peak brightness, an all-day 16 hour battery life, a Magic Keyboard that is coloured matched to the device itself and a multi-touch trackpad that is actually clickable. It has a 1080p Facetime camera as well as dual side-firing speakers with support for Spatial Audio.
As far as connectivity goes, it has two USB-C ports that can be used for charging, connecting accessories or an external display and Wi-Fi 6E support.
The MacBook Neo is up for pre-order now and will release on March 11th in Citrus, Blush, Silver and Indigo. It comes in the below two specs:
