Insta360 has announced the X6 360 Camera and it packs a bunch of new features into a much smaller body.
The camera has a custom Sony 1/1.1-inch sensor which is 33% larger and takes in up to 4x the light, offering 8K 360 recording at 50 FPS. It’s also the first 360 camera with native in-camera Dolby Vision and 10-b0t colour as well.
It has a Triple AI system with two dedicated imaging chips plus a Qualcomm 8-core 3.3GHZ 4nm processor with a big focus on low-light performance. It offers a 360 camera, InstaFrame 2.0 gimbal style camera and a traditional single-lens action camera with single-lens recording going up to 5K/60FPS or 4K/120FPS.
The battery is hugely improved with 140 minutes of 8K/30FPS recording, lasting 51% longer than the X5 with 80% charge in 24 minutes. The replaceable lenses are better with them being 5x more scratch resistant and 60% cheaper to buy, and there’s a new 2.32-inch 1,200 nits OLED display that has touch-sensitivity and always-on functionality and there’s also 47GB of useable storage built in as well.
The Insta360 X6 costs $1,049 AUD in Australia, it’s available today and you can grab it right HERE.
