We knew the next-gen was going to be pricey, and it turns out, if you want to add another 1TB to your Xbox Series X, then it’s going to cost you quite a bit.
JB Hi-Fi has listed the Seagate Xbox Series X 1TB Expansion Card and it’s going to set you back $359 AUD. This is in-line with what we’ve heard from other Australian retailers (which should also be putting pre-orders live today). You can pre-order it from the Microsoft Store, EB Games or JB Hi-Fi right now. We’ll keep you posted on other retailers.
Given this is a custom 1TB NVME drive, the price would make sense. Samsung announced the price of 1 TB 980 Pro SSD yesterday (more in-line with PS5 speeds) and that’s going to set us back $380 AUD, so this isn’t too bad considering.
If you’re wanting to pre-order other Xbox Series X accessories, Amazon has you covered for the cheapest prices for the below:
As previously mentioned here, you’ll need one of these to play Xbox Series X games off of (if you’re out of space on the internal). You will be able to play Xbox One games off a regular external HD, or move Xbox Series X games back and forth, but not play games off it.
