Update: The ID@Xbox Demo Fest has officially kicked off!
You can now download and play over 40 new demos, all of which are listed below:
Xbox has announced that it’s throwing another demo party with the return of the ID@Xbox Demo Fest next week.
The event will run from July 11 until July 17, giving Xbox players a full week to dive into over 40 game demos from the Xbox dashboard. Like previous iterations of the event, these demos are closer to something like Steam Demo Fest where they represent the kinds of in-progress builds you’d typically see on an exhibition show floor as opposed to polished cuts of a finished product. It’s a pretty cool thing to see for console owners.
Alongside the announcement, five of the games being featured in the event have been revealed. Including one playable demo that’s already been available for a hot minute. Take a look:
Demonschool (Necrosoft Games / Ysbryd Games)
An RPG with tactical elements and a spooky horror vibe, Demonschool has you try to survive university life as Faye, the last living demon hunter. Experience unique tactical battles, build relationships with friends, complete goofy sidequests, and fight gigantic bosses, all while unraveling the demonic mystery of the island.
Lies of P (Neowiz) (demo available now)
Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action souls-like game set in a cruel, dark, Belle Époque world. All of humanity is lost in a once-beautiful city that has now become a living hell filled with unspeakable horrors. Lies of P offers an elegant world filled with tension, a deep combat system and a gripping story.
Sea of Stars (Sabotage Studio)
Promising the Sabotage touch in every system, Sea of Stars aims to modernize the classic RPG in terms of turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration and interactions with the environment, while still offering a hearty slice of nostalgia and good old, simple fun.
The Wandering Village (Stray Fawn Studio)
A city-building simulation game on the back of a giant, wandering creature! Build your settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with the colossus. Will you survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world, contaminated by poisonous plants?
Worldless (Noname / Coatsink)
Worldless is a stylised 2D adventure platformer with innovative combat and a mind-bending, interpretive narrative. Players will walk the line between physical and astral planes within a shapeless world, embarking on a journey of self-growth and understanding. Featuring a great variety of enemies, bosses and skills to unlock, and several abstract yet beautiful areas to explore, together with curated sound effects and a magnificent OST composed by Berlinist (Gris), Worldless will make players feel immersed and challenged while they walk their path to a new beginning.
