Following on from its Xbox 360, Mattel has announced that a buildable Xbox console is on the way later this year.
It’s a 1:1 model of the original Xbox console that is made up of 3,509 pieces. It comes with the classic Duke controller which has interactive features. When you press the buttons, pieces inside the Xbox console will come to life from franchises such as Halo: Combat Evolved, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Psychonauts complete with lights and sound effects.
It has a totally modular design including 12 NanoWorld figures so each game scene can be displayed separately, but come together to form the Xbox console itself.
The Xbox console will cost $329.99 (~$463 AUD) and will release later this year. We’ll keep you posted when we have local information about it.
