Yesterday morning the groups for Riot Games League of Legends World Championships were drawn from the NA LCS Studios via live stream. In the first stage of the World Championship tournament, the sixteen qualified teams are set to compete in four groups of four teams in a double-round robin at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in California. The dominate two teams of each group will then progress to the bracket stage which will take place at the Chicago Theatre and Madison Square Garden respectively before the Grand Final is played on the Staples Center stage once again on October 29.

Teams will be playing for a cut of the over $2,000,000 (USD) prize pool. The first place team will walk away with $1,000,000 as well as the Summoner’s Cup— League of Legends esports’ highest accolade. See the groups clash from September 29 onwards.
