The Xbox One X Feels Reasonably Priced In Australia

Kotaku Australia is reporting that, in Australia, the Xbox One X will retail for roughly $649 Australian Dollars.

As previously reported, the console will come fitted with a 1TB hard drive but will be expandable with any portable hard drive much like previous Xbox One Consoles.

Thanks, Kotaku.

More to come in the coming moments.

What do you guys think of the price?

  • Can I just say that this is the most reasonable comment section I have found, no one overreacting or losing their shit. Respect.

    • It is refreshing hey, it is an absolute shame that people can't appreciate new games and tech, miss the old days!

  • Put it in perspective
    Xbox One
    US: $499
    AUD: $ 599
USD to AUD at the time = around $530

    Xbox One X
    US: $499
    AU: $649
USD to AUD currently = about $660

Were getting a good deal on this. Were somehow avoiding the 'Australian Tax' that usually applies to consumer electronics here let alone the fact we're actually getting it cheaper then the US.

  • Despite a lot of anger over the price, I think it is fair. Given that it does everything the original ONE and ONE S can do, trade deals will make it easier to swallow. Afterall, I remember paying $1000 for a PS3 in 2007!

    • I don't think so. Not for what's 'under it's hood.' There's some serious hardware in this thing, and I think it's well priced as a premium console.
