We’re used to publishers giving a bit of love to their indie developers, but they aren’t fit to lace the shoes of the Kinda Funny team, even if they did yell at poor Tim Schafer.
During a whirlwind and punchy twenty-minute showcase, more than sixty games were shown off and it’s just wonderful that there’s such an open and welcoming platform for any and all independent developers to show off their labours of love that cover a variety of genres. One thing we love about the indie space is their continued insistence on pushing ideas and concepts that are fresh and that matter.
Not every game needs a gun and that shines through most of those showcased today. Get comfy, grab a coffee and settle in for a butt load of trailers.
So there you have it, catch your breath and go wishlist the games that jumped out at you and do a good thing for the indie developers working so hard on these games. And kudos to Greg Miller and Tim Gettys for shining a spotlight on these games.
If a particular game jumps out at you, feel free to find the developer’s accounts embedded in the Kinda Funny tweets throughout the article to keep tabs on their work.
