Bully, or Canis Canem Edit, has always been a weird, crowned jewel from the Rockstar back catalogue, giving a small slice-of-life experience about the trials of school life and how fitting in is never straightforward; a most relatable trope.
It was fun to stick to your timetable, overachieve in class, while taking the opportunity to cause chaos in those moments between. I expect Agefield High might lean more into the rebellious hijinks of it all, as it also wears its early 2000s coming-of-age comedy influence on its sleeve by riffing on movies like American Pie.
The game is being made by a small indie studio called Refugium Games, and it’s expected to launch on Steam on August 12, with console ports expected later on.
According to its Steam page, the game offers:
- A coming-of-age story of friendship, love, and rebellion and 8–10 hours of gameplay
- Time management & school system where attendance is essential
- Small town open-world featuring the school campus, neighborhoods, town center, and countryside
- 32 main story missions with two different endings
- 15 side missions/activities
- 5 different lesson types including English, Math, Geography, German, and Music
- Shops to buy bikes, clothes, hairstyles, tattoos, and accessories
