Square Enix held their first ‘Square Enix Presents’ digital event this morning. It definitely wasn’t super ground breaking, but it did have a few nice announcements. They also confirmed that there will be another one coming this Winter.

Announced at the PS5 reveal event, Project Athia is now Forspoken and it’s targeting a 2022 release date. The game looks to be an action adventure with Frey, the main character taking on a series of challenges that help her uncover the mystery of Athia. The game will take advantage of the PS5 hardware and it’s also coming to PC.
We got another look at the free next-gen upgrade that is dropping today for Marvel’s Avengers and it was finally confirmed that Black Panther is coming to the game in a new War for Wakanda expansion. This will include Black Panther, a new villain, new story and more. There’s also going to be a number of other updates throughout the year.
It’s been confirmed that Life is Strange: True Colors is the next game in the franchise. It’s coming as one single release on September 10th for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It follows Alex Chen who has the psychic power of Empathy.
Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm are getting remastered with enhanced visuals and animation. That’s coming later this year.
It was announced that a new Space Invaders game is coming to mobile utilizing augmented reality.
A new Hitman game is coming to mobile. It’s coming later this year and it’s called Hitman Sniper Assassins.
It was a big day for mobile announcements. Square revealed that the popular Just Cause franchise is coming to mobile and it’s also launching later this year.
