This Week’s Most Exciting Video Game Releases

It’s the final week of May, and after last week saw the unlikely duo of Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door go head-to-head, this week is a little more chill with some pretty vibey indies due to launch along with the much-anticipated return of the Warner Brothers-themed platform fighter, MultiVersus.

It might seem otherwise quiet, but make sure you take a good look at everything we’ve listed below (as usual, not an exhaustive list but the ones that most caught our eye) to see if there’s anything you may not have had on your radar:

Picross S Namco Legendary Edition

A collaboration between Picross S and the Namco LEGENDARY Series! A second character editor has been added to the Nintendo Switch™ version of Picross S! Namco LEGENDARY Series characters are now available as Picross puzzles.

Nightmare Kart (FKA Bloodborne Kart)

Release Date: May 31st (June 1st AEST)

Ripout (1.0 Release)

Ripout is an online Co-Op horror FPS that will have players fight their way through procedurally generated derelict ships filled with mutants capable of reconfiguring their alien bodies. Survive with your trusty Pet Gun companion, collect loot, and customize your character to fit your playstyle.

Hypercharge: Unboxed (Xbox Release)

TEVI (PlayStation/Xbox Release)

Release Date: May 28th

TEVI is a 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania. Focusing on fast-paced bullet hell gameplay and a flashy combo system, the game also features intricate melee and ranged combat, dodge systems, a boss-staggering BREAK mechanic and more. Astor: Blade of the Monolith

FLATHEAD

A simple game of over or under taken to the darkest extreme. Strapped to a machine with a plethora of gadgets, the footsteps of a nightmarish terror approach from behind. Your only hope is to save enough points to pay for your escape before the inevitable.
