It’s been wildly speculated for months about how many power moons there are in Super Mario Odyssey. Whilst going through the main game, it doesn’t feel like there’s that many power moons, but once you finish, you’ll be exposed to a whole heap of new power moons.
There’s 836 Power Moons in Super Mario Odyssey. This is how many you can actually collect from missions (in your list), and most of these can’t be found until you’ve completed the main story. It’s worth mentioning that you can also purchase a massive amount of Power Moons in the shops (that don’t count in the list beyond the first one). This takes the total of Power Mons well past 900. We know that you can collect 999 Power Moons, so it’s definite that you’ll need to purchase at least 150 of them.
As we mentioned earlier, a lot of these Power Moons are locked until you complete the game (and attack the Power Moon crate with Cappy). Some Kingdoms don’t have any Power Moons until you’ve defeated the main game. We’ve marked which ones these are.
