Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes Gets Release Window

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, the prologue to the much anticipated Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Has a release window. Which is “Spring 2014” which for us Aussies will be sometime around Autumn.

Ground Zeroes follows Big Boss to a Prison Camp in Cuba for a rescue mission, which will set up the events taking focus in The Phantom Pain. While also softly introducing players to the new mechanics we will be seeing in the next main instalment. Kojima explains “There will be a significant difference in what Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain brings to the series, so we want to ease players into the new open world environment and its potential, allowing them to fully benefit from all that the new game offers. As such, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes has been designed to introduce key elements, while setting up the events of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.”

The US prices seem to be $19.99 for download, and $29.99 for retail. Sadly, we still have to wait till Autumn. Time to go back to the HD collection for now. Man, 2014 is going to be so crazy for gaming. New games and announcements are no doubt going to be plentiful. Lord knows what’s coming next.
