CD Projekt Red had some huge announcements for The Witcher 3 at Gamescom Opening Night Live including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered which will release on September 29th.
This will be a free upgrade for all owners of the original game including on Nintendo Switch 2 (for OG Switch owners) and it will also grant access to Hearts Of Stone and Blood And Wine expansions for all owners regardless of whether they own them.
The new version will bring enhancements to visuals, performance and gameplay including upgraded visuals enhanced combat, improved traversal and movement, new witcher signs effects, revamped mount handling, enhanced monster behaviors, a skill tree revamp, transmogrification, expanded photo mode, new finishers, and much more.
We aslo got a brand new look at the Wongs Of The Past Expansion which will introduce a new region of Letten to the game and an epic new weapon, but that’s not coming until 2027 and will be coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
