Banjo-Kazooie Sucessor ‘Yooka-Laylee’ Smashes Kickstarter Records

The newly revealed ‘Yooka-Laylee’ by Playtonic Games is smashing Kickstarter records. With an initial goal of £175,000, the game is already at £1,275,108. The Kickstarter went live on Friday night and was funded within 40 minutes. Reaching US $1 million within six hours makes it the fastest growing video game to ever hit Kickstarter. This shows how badly gamers have been anticipating a successor to Banjo-Kazooie.

The game has also hit all of it’s initial stretch targets which means that it will launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, Wii U & Linux. Playtonic Games have also added in another stretch target overnight. Set at £1,500,000, it will allow the budget for an orchestral score.
