Footage Of Cancelled Call of Duty Roman Wars Revealed

GamesRadar have revealed footage of a cancelled Call Of Duty game titled Roman Wars. In a different direction for the franchise, the game was an action adventure typed game featuring swordplay, similar to that of RYSE and the upcoming For Honour. The game was due for release in 2013 on Xbox 360 and PS3, but could have also made its way to PS4/Xbox One. It was being developed by Vicarious Visions but it’s evident that development for the game never really got off the ground. This could be due to the fact that Microsoft were working on RYSE which looks quite similar in both gameplay and its graphical nature.

It would have been a very interesting direction for the Call of Duty franchise.

  • I am usually against Activision policies, but I certainly can see why they didn't feel this should get the COD brand. I would not have aproved it either!

  • At least it doesn't look as childish as Black Ops 3. Its sad how gamers are so brainwashed in their gaming bubble to the point that they cannot see what they are actually playing. Look at what Call of Duty has turned in to. Its a blatant rip off of Destiny and Titanfall. Even Zombies is totally lame with all the mobility of the user and even the zombies. Its not even horror anymore. There is nothing more than I want than an actual COD game based on a historical event and rooted in reality. Not this lame direction. Games should have principle and purpose, neither which current COD have. And I am a fan of Star Trek and space-related things. It just doesn't belong in COD year after year. 1 year is fine...but a total milk job of futuristic warfare is lame.
