Pokémon Sun and Moon Breaks Sales Records Across The World

The latest entry in the Pokémon series Sun and Moon, are breaking sales records across the world for Nintendo and Game Freak.

Polygon are reporting Sun and Moon have become Nintendo’s fastest selling titles ever in the Americas, with 3.7 million copies sold in the regions since the release just under  two weeks ago.

While the same has been happening on the other side of the Atlantic, with Sun and Moon becoming the biggest European launch of a Nintendo game ever.

Eurogamer originally reported that it was Nintendo’s biggest launch ever in the UK, but is now reporting it is the same for the whole of Europe. With 1.5 million copies sold in the first week of its release across the continent!

Although it didn’t outsell sales of X/Y in their first few days of release back in 2013 for Japan, sales have been healthy for the Hawaiian themed title in Nintendo’s homeland too, with over 1.9 million units sold in the first 3 days of release, according to Famitsu.

Now, thats a lot of ‘evers’ and records broken, and for good reason! As Sun and Moon have been universally praised for revitalising the series. You can check out our review here. Spoiler, we loved it.
