Telstra Has A New 4000GB Gamer Broadband Bundle

Telstra has unveiled its new lineup of broadband bundles that includes some pretty high allocations of data.

The new Large and Extra Large bundles have 2000gb (2TB) and 4000gb (4TB) that they advertise as being perfect for gamers.

Whilst we concur that both of these sizes are ridiculously large, it seems beyond what you need for most months even as a gamer. At least the prices appear to be coming down significantly.

The large will set you back $99 per month whilst the extra large will set you back $120 per month. You’ll also get Telstra TV bundled in, but we’re not entirely sure how valuable this is.

  • For the gamers here thinking of picking one up: DO NOT! I don't have one of these plans, I have a 500gb plan for $90 but I do have cable (not NBN) with Telstra and the process of getting it TOOK 6 MONTHS OF TALKING TO IDIOTS THAT PROVIDE EMPTY PROMISES. Sure. It works and is sort of fast (even though my Telstra provided modem/router resets every week) but the six months it took to get the plan was filled with the words "We'll sort that out for you" and me thinking "Someone shoot me". It's the worst experience I have had. So before you sign up for a plan make sure you get rid of your social life because the next few months are spent on the phone with idiots paid to sit there and say "Ok I've processed that for you". #FuckTelstra

  • Telstra, you can have a 10tb plan for all i care, it doesnt change the fact that your service needs improving. Not the size of your bank accounts.

    • do you get foxtel or jsut the ability to access foxtel play on the telstra tv box...I assumed you still have to pay foxtel if you want to use it

        • Its only the $26 Foxtel junk channel package, which means the broadband is costing you $94, plus $26 for the junk channels, plus whatever real channel packages you want, such as $10 for docos or $39 for HD sports.

For $60, MyRepublic will sell you unlimited data at the maximum attainable NBN bandwidth of the Turnbull dumbed-down infrastructure to your premises. Then you can buy Foxtel directly for $26 plus your chosen packages. That is a $34 saving per month, and the added bonus is not having to talk to Telstra.

  • 32 down 8 up for 80 with unlimited on Optus here... but they over subbed the line so we don't actually get the speed. 200+ ping on average

      • Thats the problem I can't get that where I live in Canberra :-) Telstra only infrastructure in my exchange and no NBN of any flavour.
So even though my broadband is not with Telstra its onsold after Telstra has wholesaled it on to the ISP.

  • Telstra cant get their current plans and services to work try fixing those first before trying to encourage others to sign up and go through months of drama with no services while still being charged for them
