The Destiny 2 Collector’s Edition Has A Ridiculous Amount Of Stuff In It

It’s a formality now that with every AAA game announcement comes an exorbitant collector’s edition announcement. We now know that Destiny 2 will release on September 8th.

I must admit though, the Destiny 2 collector’s edition which comes in at a whopping $349 in Australia has a lot of stuff in it. Some of it is digital and some is physical, but there’s even a bloody box within the collector’s edition box, which is full of stuff.

Everything that you’ll get in the box is included below:

  • Destiny 2 base game
  • Destiny 2 Expansion Pass: Get access to both Expansion I and Expansion II, offering brand new story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer, and a wealth of new weapons, armor, and gear.
  • Premium digital content:
    • Legendary Sword
    • Legendary Player Emote
    • Cabal Empire Themed Emblem
  • Destiny 2 – Frontier Bag
    • Customizable bag that can be worn as a backpack or messenger bag

  • Cabal-themed Collector’s Box, containing;
    • Booklet with secrets into the Cabal Empire
    • Cabal Schematic

If $349 is a bit rich for your taste, or you’re not interested in all this epic loot, there’s also a Limited Edition version of the game for $149. You’ll still get the Expansion Pass, some digital content as well as the Collector’s Box which still has some pretty epic loot within.

  • DLC before we see actual game play is just a big red flag for me. The fact its not a $60 season pass for everything is another big red flag. I'm out again. Have fun everybody else spending all that money on half a game, just so you can buy all that DLC

      • Never bought the first game, so I'd be very doubtful of buying the second. It was just so bad & kept getting worse.

    • Naturally D2 is always going to have expansions - the game's genre calls for it, it's simply a matter of when. Some people know that this is the case and are willing to take the gamble that the game is going to be decent and playable up until the 2nd expansion to reap the slight discount.

  • everything but content for a year for pc/xbox.you guys realize there could be 1 1/2 yearrs of ZERO content on pc/xbox it just depends when the first dlc launches on the ps4 then a year later.
