It’s been a while, but it appears that the PlayStation Network is down worldwide including Australia for a number of users.
As of 4:46pm, the PlayStation Network Status page said that Gaming and Social was currently having issues with the below message:
“You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
Aussieoutages had a spike of over 400 people reporting issues as soon as 4:30pm hit. You can see that spike below.

PS Store is undergoing maintenance according to the message generator. I’m unable to download apps. So inconvenient. I attempted to download apps 2 weeks again but to no avail. I received the same message then as I am receiving now.
