PSN Down

PlayStation Network Is Down Across Australia Right Now

As of about 8:30am AEST this morning, the PlayStation Network is down across Australia. Going off PlayStation’s services page, this includes logging into your account, accessing the PlayStation Store as well as playing games online for most of Australians.

There’s currently no estimated time for this to return, but Sony has said that it is working on it.

The status currently reads:

You may have some difficulty launching games, applications or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.

As of 9am this morning, Aussie Outages had suggested that over 1200 people had reported having trouble logging into the PlayStation Network which is just about as high as any number I’ve ever seen listed on the website.

After a bad run over the last few months, July has been fairly good in terms of the PSN going down, but this is the longest outage in some time and definitely not good for a Sunday morning.

Interestingly enough, the number of reports for Fortnite going down spiked alongside the PlayStation Network, but it’s likely that this is just people getting confused with the PlayStation Network being down.
